Steps To Success Part 1--- Clear Purpose

Successful people fully recognize that they are totally responsible for their own lives. They make full use of the free-will God has given them to direct their lives in ways they choose. They do not blame others for their failures. They accept that even though other challenges may come into their lives, they are responsible for how they respond.
As a person of success you need to know your abilities. What are you capable of? What do you really want to do? What are your talents? Build from that. Grow in your talents and your life will improve. Your talents are the head start to your prosperity. You can only be truly confident and relaxed doing something you are good at.
Confidence is always the key to doing anything well. The problem is we concentrate more on the outside part of being confident rather than the inside. If you are naturally gifted at something, your confidence whilst doing it is often effortless. You just do it. A confident person can do anything. She’s not thinking about how others view her. He’s not trying to please others. Confidence creates a boldness that is not satisfied with the ordinary, confidence creates a desire for one to express themselves in an extraordinary and unique way. Confidence can take good to being great. It can transform the seemingly impractical to being a normal way of life.
Successful people know what it is they want in each and every aspect of their lives. How much money do you want to make, what kind of relationships do want to live with. These people do not waste time inside situations or even other people that are inconsistent with what they want. They have a self-concept that outlines who they are and what they believe. Anything that hinders progress or is not in line with them is swiftly dropped. Some can be described as being cold towards anything that is not in line with what they have defined as SUCCESS.
These people do not let anyone define success for them. They realize life consists of relationships but not only with others but more so with God and themselves. Successful people tend to actively seek relationships with birds of the same feather. People who understand and can relate to pressures they go through. People who inspire them to do better.
Take time to jot down your own self-concept. Who are you? What do you want to achieve? Write all these things down. What dreams do you have that you dare not express to everyone else? Perhaps dreams that would make you look silly for having them but that would propel you to greatness once they have been realized. This is a time to be truly honest with YOU. If you cannot let out your dreams to YOU then you will never realize them. Being honest with yourself about what you really want is the first step in being comfortable within your own skin. This will lead to self-confidence, to desire and ultimately to bold prayers then bold actions and ultimately great results. Include the kind of relationships you want to have. What type of friends do you want to have?
I once had “friends” who were against me. They were always “with” me but they were never “for” me. I have come to realize that my life is much better without them. I have my own principles on what kind of people I let in my social circle. Now let me make it clear that no one is perfect but there are always those that push you and those that pull you down. Resolve to be with those that build you up. To move towards your purpose if you are not sure of it yet or to move towards achieving it when you already know it then you need to chuck out any form of poison. It sounds cold but “bad company will always ruin good morals.” If your purpose brings joy and excitement to you then you will easily peal yourself away from anything or anyone that can prevent you from your purpose. Be courteous to all but intimate with those that support and accept you for who you truly are.

“You end up becoming who you compare yourself to.”

“Only you give yourself a title. You choose what belief system to have.”

“We are transformed by exposure. What you see is what you want.”

Don’t talk about what you are but what you want to be. Cast your words were you want to go.”

“God talks about future events as if they have already happened. Do the same with your dreams!”

“What we focus on we magnify.”
A belief is not just an idea that you possess, it is an idea that possesses you.
When you truly believe something will happen you do not worry about it, you have full trust and faith that it will happen. You are happy now because you know it’s already yours or it will definitely happen. When someone wins the lottery they may not receive the money there and there. They could wait for a month. But they are happy now. They fully trust that the money is on its way. It’s like money in the bank; you don’t have it physically were you are but you know you have access to it when you want it. I believe it’s better to apply yourself and make $100million dollars than just winning it in a lottery. You get more fulfillment from YOUR work. Like a person who is yet to receive he’s jackpot prize knows it is coming so you need to believe that your own $100million that you are working for is coming. Those who have already won the lottery dream all the time about how they will spend “their” money. They “feel” the exact feelings right now. You should mimic that with your own work. Think about how you will spend your money, how your life would be better and the feelings involved.

When you believe with all your heart that a goal of yours will come to pass, then it probably will. All your thoughts, feelings and actions will be directed towards achieving it. Your prayers will be full of faith. “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received and it shall be done for you.” You may have grown up in a dysfunctional family but you can change that.

The mind can’t distinguish whether you are really doing it or whether you are just practicing. If you’ve been there in the mind you’ll go there in the body.
Growing up I was a daydreamer (I’m still growing up). I would imagine being a successful businessman (a trillionaire!), the greatest soccer player of all time, or the greatest President of all time. Something would light up on the inside. I couldn’t live without my imagination. Experiencing tough times as a child, this was my escape. I was in control. This was me.
Keep smiling on the inside and very soon you are going to be smiling on the outside. The goals that I have set for myself even these days are in the same line as my imaginations, the imaginations I had a long time ago.
Pele, the great soccer player, was a visualizing king. Before every single match he would visualize what he would do. He would imagine different situations. With his mind’s eye he would imagine scoring goals, creating chances and dribbling. What he had practiced for hours he would now imagine implementing it. He is widely regarded as the greatest soccer player ever. It is said his homeland country of Brazil once proclaimed a national holiday just to see him play. He was that good. Scientific research shows that the brain doesn’t know the difference between visualizing something and actually doing it. If you visualize your success well enough you will get the same feelings as when you have actually done it.
On a negative note, look at rapists other sex criminals. Most have a history of watching pornography. What they fed their then seeks to be expressed. This is how it works. Guaranteed. What you feed in your mind will push like a baby to come out. Everyone that ever accomplished anything worthwhile knows this principle. Men of success feast on anything and everything that will propel them forward. Good people are that way because they focus their minds on good things. They meditate on principles of goodness.
Visualizing will be key to achieving yourself. It gets you in touch with the feelings that will be responsible for your success. You should have principles and goals. These should determine what feelings you nurture and what feelings you throw away. Whatever your feelings will then determine your behavior. Your behavior will ultimately determine whether you discover and accomplish your purpose or not.
When you have clear sense of purpose, you will be attracted to anything in line with your purpose. Anything that does not appear in your vision will be dropped. Anything includes anyone as well.
If you consistently focus on getting a certain kind of husband with certain types of characteristics like- looks or height, religious beliefs, financial stability, supportive, gentle, kind, a good listener, goal driven and ambitious- then you will naturally be attracted to guys of the same type. The positive aspect of this is that by focusing on getting that kind of husband, you both consciously and subconsciously work towards becoming the type of person who can have that kind of husband. Those characteristics and traits become a part of you. If you constantly focus on the characteristics that would separate any job from your dream job then you will be attracted to that. Think of what you want all the time and you will move in that direction all the time.

I will never attend an anti-war rally. If you have a peace rally invite me.
Most people focus on the problem than the solution. What they don’t want rather than what they do want. On the devil rather than on Christ. What’s bad about their family rather than what they do well. This is very depressing and let me make it clear that being depressed will always get the opposite of what you want. Successful people always focus their thinking on what they want to achieve. They always imagine how it is to have more than enough money. How wonderful it is to always have God on your side in everything. How amazing it is to great friends by your side--- even if the current reality begs to completely disagree. How you take any situation with your mind determines your feelings and ultimately your feelings determine your behavior. 99% respond negatively to a negative circumstance. 1% respond positively. These are the successful ones. Be one of those. This faith pleases God and gets him moving, fast. God speaks of things that haven’t occurred as if they already have. Since you are a mirror of God’s creative power, doing the same brings success in any undertaking.
Whilst you don’t even have shoes, live as though you have your favorite car. State your claim to God of what you want through this faith and God will provide for you. Thank him for his provision even before it has arrived. Learn to feel as though it has arrived before it has arrived. Learn to live prosperously even without a dime to your name and very soon God will mirror your faith with tangible things. Be confident around rich people even if you have nothing to your name. Be comfortable around people with the same characteristics and personalities you want to adopt in your own life. Don’t be jealous of them. A clear sense of purpose will prevent this. A clear sense of purpose always admires the positives of others because you realize if God did it for them so He can for you. If someone could go through a bad experience and come out stronger so can you.
Whatever you dwell upon, grows in your reality.
If you spend your time meditating on the good then it will become a part of your life.

If you spend most of your time watching soapies, don’t be surprised if some of the scandals in them appear in your own life. What you dwell upon will become a part of you. You become attracted and accustomed to familiar situations and circumstances that are constantly in your mind.
If you spend your time around children your heart will mellow and become more peaceful. If you spend your time reading about successful entrepreneurs then you will adopt their characteristics and become one. If you spend your time on MTV then you will adopt those things you see. Just look at the dressing of society right now. It comes from celebs. What you focus on grows in your reality. Who you focus on becomes a part of you.

Anything we focus on, we do create.

If you focus on the love of God, that’s who you will be. If you focus your mind on being a kind human being, that will be that. If you focus on being that the best that you want to be in your chosen field of work then you will be. It only requires maximum concentration and faith to see this come to pass.
Our energy flows were attention goes.

We give our attention to those people and those things that we love and that add value to our lives. If a man and woman give unrivalled attention to each other then very soon they will be married.  Other lives will also grow from this relationship.
If everyday you do push then very soon your entire upper body will provide evidence to the world that this is true. If you focus live with peace of mind, joy patience and all the other fruits of the Spirit, your life and relationships will prove that this is true. If you focus on living a prosperous life, a life abundance and sharing your life will show this. If you focus on being the best at what you do, then the results will show. No doubt. This is because our mind is designed to grow in the areas it most used to thinking about. Do yourself a favor and constantly think about yourself achieving your dreams.
